Our Services

Our services are available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year!

Ernco Environmental Geo Services focuses on soil sampling utilizing the most “Environmentally Responsible” methods currently available.

We also offer sample collection and documentation services, as well as lab reports and complete detailed final reports tailored to the specific requirements of the client.

We currently have tooling in stock for sampling to depths of 40 feet, but can add tooling to reach deeper depths, on short notice, if necessary.

We offer the MC5 Macro-Core sample system.  This system is currently the most popular in the Direct Push Industry.  Soil samples are encased in a 1-5/8” ID, PVC liner for ease of on site sample collection, or capped and labeled for sealed transportation to an approved lab or designated testing facility.

We also offer the DT325 sampling system that incorporates a dual tube design.  This system is especially useful in applications where contamination is present and sandy or unstable soil conditions exist.  An outer casing is driven in conjunction with an inner casing containing a 1-7/8” ID, PVC liner to collect the sample.  This design allows collection of samples for the entire depth, while preventing any soil sloughing and resulting contamination of the sample due to sloughing.  The end result is a 100% accurate, non contaminated sample (no mixing of any portion of the materials within the hole) of every portion of the entire depth of the sample hole.  The Dual tube system is also ideal for accurate and efficient installation of Monitoring Wells.

As well, we offer a conventional 4-1/2” Solid Stem auger sampling option.

The key feature to the success of the Geoprobe design, as opposed to other existing designs, is the GH62 Hammer.  The hammer delivers 1920 blows per minute (32Hz) which delivers forces in excess of 80,000 lbs.

As a direct result of the superior hammer design, the Geoprobe system is especially effective and efficient in frozen, permafrost and tough clay conditions.

Also available is the DH100 Automatic Drop Hammer system.  This unit conforms to ASTM Standards D1586-99.  The unit can operate at up to 55 blows per minute.  SPT (Standard Penetration Tests) can be achieved using a Solid Drive Point, as well as a Split Spoon or Dual Tube system for collecting samples while performing SPT testing.
