Geoprobe Model GH80 Hammer

• This powerful hammer cycles at 32 blows per second (32hz) and delivers forces in excess of 100,000 lbs per cycle to the top end of the tool string

• The design of this hammer is the primary reason the Geoprobe system is so effective in frozen soil, perma-frost and tough to penetrate soil conditions
• The hammer features bi-directional rotation for efficient penetration of concrete and asphalt.

Geoprobe CB8 Combo Head Versatility

• The CB8 Combo Head makes the 8040DT one of the most versatile machines on the market.  The 5-function combo head (patent pending) provides integration of common operations providing high-capacity functionality with very efficient movement between operations.
• The combo head allows use of the GH80 hammer for driving 2.25”, 3.25” or 4.5” tooling systems. Or use the GA6000 two speed high torque (6000 ft-lbs) rotary auger head for conventional drilling.  Or perform Standard Penetration Testing (SPTs) through the inside diameter of the 4.5” tooling or hollow stem augers. 
• The CB8 Combo Head allows all these functions to occur without repositioning the foot of the drilling mast.  All these functions work in unison to maximize efficiencies for the Client

Dual Tube Sampling System 4.5 in (DT45)

• The DT45 sampling system allows a 3” diameter clear PVC sample tube to collect a continuous, undisturbed sample of the soil for the entire depth of the borehole.  This tube can be cut open on location and specific samples collected, or simply capped and shipped to a lab for inspection and testing.
• Installation of 2” monitoring wells inside the 4.5” tooling ensures the pipe reaches the full depth of the borehole and allows ample sand-pack around the well.
• The dual tube system allows 100% accurate sampling to occur throughout the entire depth of the hole without any possibility of cross contamination occurring due to mixing or sloughing.

Solid Stem Auger System

• Conventional solid stem augers are available if the Client prefers this method of sampling

Hollow Stem Auger System

• Hollow stem augers are also available if this method of well installation is preferred or necessary.

Automatic Drop Hammer (DH101)

• The DH101 Auto Drop Hammer conforms to ASTM Standards D1586-99.  This standard requires a 140 lb hammer be lifted 30 inches.  The hammer operates at 55 blows per minute and SPTs can be achieved directly through the tooling with a Split Spoon or Solid Drive Point, whichever method the Client prefers.
• This method of performing SPTs allows 100% accuracy, as the testing is done while the borehole remains cased and occurs below the level the tooling has reached. 
• As a result, utilization of the DT45 tooling coupled with cased SPTs allows the Client to achieve maximum efficiencies.
